Unlock the Secrets to Thriving in Thailand with Groundbreaking “Media and Communication for Transnational Citizens” Lifelong Learning Course

September 27, 2024 - The Center of Excellence in Communication Innovation for Development of Quality of Life and Sustainability at the Faculty of Communication Arts, Chulalongkorn University has launched a groundbreaking new course, “Media & Communication for Transnational Citizens#2”. Delivery of this course is facilitated by the Chula Unisearch.

Designed specifically for foreigners living and working in Thailand, this course aims to enhance communication skills and understanding of Thai culture. The learning experience combines online lessons on The Sharpener.School's platform with optional onsite workshops. This synergy among the two organizations ensures high-quality content that meets the needs of the target audience and reaches a wide range of learners.

This 12-month course taught entirely in English, consists of six comprehensive modules covering topics such as fundamentals of media and communication in Thailand, cross-cultural communication, communication in the digital era and social media, communication for tourism and business, communication for negotiation and conflict resolution, and a practical communication project in the Thai context.

Learners will gain knowledge from a team of expert instructors with hands-on experience in the Thai media and communication industry. They will practice skills through interactive online activities, group discussions, and simulations. Continuous assessment includes participation, quizzes, and a final project. The teaching and learning process will be conducted on The Sharpener.School's advanced Lifelong Learning platform, which facilitates access to content anytime, anywhere.

Additionally, learners can choose to participate in supplementary activities based on their interests and availability, such as field trips, media workshops, community projects, and networking events with industry professionals. These activities will enhance opportunities for building connections and extending skills for future career paths. The total course fee is 26,500 THB, which includes a 1,500 THB application fee and a 25,000 THB enrollment fee, covering tuition, access to the learning platform, and activities.
